Research project: Modelling bud phenology and tree growth in Québec's boreal forest
Goal: Gather field data on the sequence of bud development and growth of spruce species in plantations and analyze the relation between spring frost, bud development and tree growth to bring extensive data on the impact of extreme climatic events on growth, which is currently scarce. Then develop a comprehensive model of the dormancy-growth cycle of trees.
